School Membership
School membership is open to pre-collegiate, independent, nonprofit schools located in the United States. The dues for school membership are based on student enrollment. The dues rate is $13.10 per student (K - 13) and $6.55 per preschool student. (Independent schools in Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands may choose to apply for membership OR to become an International School Subscriber. Membership is also open to independent, nonprofit schools chartered by indigenous nations / sovereign nations whose nation authorizes their nonprofit status.) Association Membership
NAIS has several associations as members. These associations are local, state, regional, and national associations of independent schools, and other associations, in and out of the U.S. The aim of member associations is consistent with that of NAIS: to serve and strengthen independent schools. NAIS Subscription
Schools and organizations that cannot be members of NAIS may subscribe to NAIS for an annual fee. During the subscription year (July 1 - June 30), a school subscriber may refer to itself as a Subscriber of NAIS in its promotional materials and may use the NAIS subscriber logo for that year, but may not state that it is a member of NAIS. Dues for all subscriber categories are pro-rated by quarter.
Premium Independent School Subscription
Premium subscription (not membership) is a category of school subscription for
independent schools in the United States. Independent schools located outside of the United States may also apply for premium subscription. This category is available to pre-collegiate schools that do not meet the requirements for membership, but would benefit from using the majority of NAIS products and services. The fee for this category is based on a rate of $13.10 per student, and $6.55 for pre-school students.

International Independent School Subscription
NAIS international school subscriber affiliation (not membership) is open to any independent school located outside of the United States that would benefit from information and services NAIS provides. The fee for this category is $1,550 (July 1 - June 30). Download the international school subscriber application.
New Independent School Subscription
New independent school subscriber affiliation (not membership) is open to independent, nonprofit schools located in the United States that have been in operation for five years or less. School Subscription
NAIS school subscriber affiliation (not membership) is open to public, charter, and other non-independent, pre-collegiate schools. The fee for this category is $1,550 (July 1 - June 30). Download the school subscriber application.
Corporate and Nonprofit Subscription
Corporate and nonprofit subscribers gain broad visibility and genuine contact within NAIS's influential membership of more than 1,400 independent schools across the nation.
