This participatory and engaging online professional development event will explain the immigration policy of the Trump Administration and present steps schools might consider in light of some of the recent policy approaches. Best practices in parent communications, international marketing and outreach will also be explored.

Day schools have not traditionally spent time recruiting students outside of their geographic area. Recently, international students from around the world have been introduced to United States day schools. Many schools struggle with the process of building a pipeline of students and building brand awareness. Dr. Kevin Merges has extensive experience recruiting international students to attend Rutgers Preparatory School, a day school in NJ, over the last decade. We will discuss possible strategies, pitfalls, and information that will assist schools in the development of this important portion of our diversity.
