NAIS Communities
Welcome to the new NAIS Communities, a forum for sharing ideas, nurturing new knowledge, and stimulating innovation in independent schools. In response to our members' desire to have collaboration and networking tools as part of their experience with NAIS, we have created these professional learning communities. While we know that our members can get their social networking from major social networking sites, we think that we are uniquely situated to provide our members with a professional, collaborative environment specifically for independent school educators. GET STARTED TODAY! Go to the Community Preferences page. Log in with your NAIS website username and password, and you'll see a list of communuties available to you. Please note that different communities have different eligibility criteria, so you may only join a community if your membership record meets those criteria. |
After you have joined, what can you do? - Learn how to navigate the NAIS Communities, which uses Microsoft SharePoint 2007, by watching a set of instructional videos.
- Be a part of the Annual Conference community, where you can start the dialogue before convening in Chicago, share your onsite insights, and continue the conversation after the conference is over.
- Join our Teachers of the Future community, and see how independent school teachers are using technology to redefine and improve their curriculae. Comment on the teachers' projects, contribute to the wiki, and post your own Story of Excellence.
- Personalize your experience by creating and editing your My Site, which is your own homepage within the NAIS Communities. Write your own blog and host your own discussions within your My Site.
- Check out TAB: The Administrator's Blog to see the latest enhancements, bug fixes, and upcoming changes. Add your comments and suggestions to make the NAIS Communities better.
