The Institute for Student Leaders is a premier forum for developing global leadership. Students from public and private schools around the world come together to develop their skills in global leadership, advocacy, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship.
The institute is also the venue where NAIS Challenge 20/20 program participants share their projects and experiences with other student leaders from around the world.
The institute includes presentations by featured speakers, hands-on workshops that make use of simulations and mock negotiations, Challenge 20/20 group discussions, and recreational and cultural activities. The program also gives students an opportunity to interact in intimate family groups and conclaves (two family groups together), where they can engage in meaningful dialogue and forge new friendships.
The NAIS Annual Conference and the Institute for Student Leaders take place concurrently this year. All attendees will come together at the Closing General Session on Friday afternoon. There, the work of Challenge 20/20 participants and ISL will be celebrated.
Price: $275 per student
Registration
Because of space limitations, we can only accept a limited number of students, so register early. Registrations are processed on a “first come, first served” basis. Schools can send up to four students plus one chaperone per school. Each school is required to send a chaperone with its students.
Note, in addition to submitting the online registration, we must receive (by fax) completed Student Conduct Agreement and Parent Consent/Medical Release forms for each participating student. Your registration will be complete only when we receive these forms.
Cancellation Policy
Send registration cancellations in writing by Wednesday, February 1, 2006, to NAIS@laser-registration.com to receive a full refund less a $75 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given after Wednesday, February 1, 2006. Please make hotel cancellations directly with the hotel.
Foundation Support
Many students and chaperones were able to attend ISL due to the generous support from the following foundation: Robert Bosch Stiftung, Stuttgart, Germany.
