 China Connection Program
The China Connection Program is an initiative that NAIS developed in cooperation with HANBAN, a Chinese organization funded by the Chinese government. Through this initiative, heads of schools from across the United States have the opportunity to visit China to interview and recruit Mandarin Chinese teachers as well as to experience Chinese culture and travel to Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai. The program also offers intensive acculturation trainings for the Chinese teachers both prior to their departure to the US as well as after they have arrived in the US.
The goals of the initiative are to advance the teaching of the Mandarin Chinese language in schools in the United States and to provide schools with resources that will assist them in becoming more globally sustainable.
