 NAIS Independent School SurveyBuilder
Getting the right data to make informed, strategic decisions has never been more important. To aid you in this process, NAIS has launched Independent School SurveyBuilder. This online tool enables independent schools to survey key constituent groups in the areas of board performance, head evaluation, parent satisfaction and alumni outcomes. Why Use the NAIS Independent School SurveyBuilder?Using SurveyBuilder, independent schools can collect valuable information from key constituent groups to measure school progress. Each survey consists of a series of trusted standard questions designed by independent school professionals. How does the SurveyBuilder Process Work?- School purchases a survey template from below.
- School sends school logo and 4 additional questions to NAIS, when requested (optional).
- School sends survey link (provided by NAIS) to target constituent group.
- NAIS sends a summary report to the school after the survey has closed.
- School reviews and analyzes NAIS's easy-to-read survey results reports.
NOTE: Survey questions cannot be deleted or altered in any way. All questions in the survey template must remain unchanged.
What Surveys are Available through SurveyBuilder?- The NAIS Parent Satisfaction Survey – Click here for a detailed description: This survey provides information on parents’ satisfaction with your school’s academics, services, communications, school climate, expenditures, and admission and selection process. Variations of this survey include a K-8 and a K-12 version as well as a short and standard version of each.
- The NAIS College-age Alumni Outcomes Survey – Click here for a detailed description: From academic preparation to community service work, this valuable tool will give you hard data on the many ways your school has contributed to your alumni’s success. Variations of this survey include an alumnae and alumni versions.
- The NAIS Head of School Assessment Survey – Click here for a detailed description: This confidential survey lets board members evaluate the overall effectiveness of the head of school in meeting his or her annual goals, and in performance of day-to-day work such as program management, fund raising, and board-head relations.
- The NAIS Board Self-Assessment Survey – Click here for a detailed description: With this survey, trustees can assess their personal effectiveness, the board’s performance as a whole, and how these affect the board’s strategic ability, fiduciary responsibilities, and partnership with the head of school.
