Brentwood School's Summer Internship Program
Brentwood School’s Summer Internship Program is a five-week program that allows students to conduct scientific research under the auspices of distinguished UCLA scientists and physicians. Supervised by the professors and their research assistants, the admitted students help to design research experiments, conduct field tests, analyze results, and summarize their findings in presentations to their colleagues, professors, and Brentwood science teachers. The internship program was developed to connect elements of the chemistry and biology curricula with state-of-the-art laboratory techniques and to promote the application of scientific theory and data analysis. Brentwood students work in UCLA’s oncology, urology, microbiology, and nanotechnology laboratories to produce sophisticated research that will prepare them to become scientific thinkers and scholars.
