NAIS Pulse Surveys

In this time of economic uncertainty, you need the most relevant and timely information to help you make the best decisions for your school. With this in mind, NAIS is launching a new initiative: The NAIS Pulse Survey.

Each month between March 2009 and June 2012, we will e-mail admission, development, and financial aid officers (and occasionally business officers) at NAIS member schools and ask them to answer a few focused and specific questions in their areas of expertise, so that the combined data will produce a real-time picture of our schools.

Why Complete the Pulse Survey?

If you complete the surveys, we will calculate and send you the aggregate results monthly. You will be able to see how your school's picture relates to national trends, and you will be able to track your own statistics against previous years.

How Does the Pulse Survey Relate to StatsOnline surveys

We know that you already invest a significant amount of time in completing StatsOnline surveys each year. The Pulse Survey is designed to supplement the comprehensive StatsOnline surveys. The Pulse Survey questions will be brief and specific, and the reports will provide relevant information to help you make informed decisions month to month.

How Can I Take Part in the Pulse Survey?

If you work at an NAIS member school and have one the following roles checked on your profile in the NAIS membership database, you will receive an e-mail at the end of every month with a link to that month's Pulse Survey: director of admission, director of financial aid, and director of development. (Business managers will also receive an e-mail every few months.)

Thank you in advance for participating in the NAIS Pulse Survey. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact our lead researcher on this project, Amada Torres, at torres@nais.org or (202) 973-9765.
