Do I need to do anything now?
Yes, the next time you log in to any NAIS site, you will do so with your email address and will be required to reset your password. Your username is now your email address. Please note that you will be required to update your password on your initial login. This step is for security measures. You can reset your password simply by clicking the “I forgot my password” link on the login page.
How will this upgrade benefit me and my school?
When you log into the NAIS website, you will see several improvements to how you interact with us online. Below are a few highlights.
You will be able to more easily manage your contact information.
From the homepage of www.nais.org, log in and click the My Account link. On the next screen, you will have to click the Login button in the top right corner of the page, and it will log you into the profile section. In the “NAIS Profile” section, click “Change” to make any edits to your profile. We strongly encourage you to add a Primary Role to your profile. This should be the role that best describes your primary responsibilities at your school. This is what we will use to send you resources that are most relevant to you. Once you have made all edits, click Save.
Your team has more flexibility in deciding who can update your staff roster or account profile information.
There are a few different levels of “permission.” Initially, contacts marked with the primary role of Head of School, Business Manager, or Primary Supporter Contact are granted “Super Admin” permission. Contacts marked with the role of Head’s Assistant are granted “Roster Manager” permission.
The people at your school with “Super Admin” permission are allowed to add/edit/remove contacts from your school roster and to grant other staff permission to make edits to your school roster and account profile. You can do all of through on the School Roster page of the portal. Additionally, a “Super Admin has access to the “Account Management” form to make edits to the school’s account profile. These edits will be reflected in the online directory.
The people at your school with “Roster Manager” permission are allowed to add/edit/remove contacts from your school roster. Additionally, a Roster Manager has access to the “Account Management” form to make edits to the school’s account profile. These edits will be reflected in the online directory.
You will be allowed to renew your membership and subscriptions online.
When it comes time to renew you school’s NAIS membership, you will be able to easily renew and pay your dues via echeck online. If you are subscribed to Independent School magazine, you will also have the option to easily renew online.
