2024 SDLC Lottery and Registration Information

The 2024 SDLC Lottery is now closed. Lottery status will be announced on April 29.


To allow for a fair and streamlined registration experience, NAIS will again conduct a randomized registration lottery for the 2024 Student Diversity Leadership Conference (SDLC). Entering the lottery is easy. You’ll find step-by-step instructions for new and returning users below.

Key Dates 

  • March 21: Lottery Opens. NAIS Member and Premium Subscriber schools will receive an email with a link to the lottery system. Schools must use that link to submit their SDLC point of contact and the number of students they wish to register (up to six students per school*). 
  • April 22 at 9:00 PM ET: Lottery Closes. 
  • April 29 by 5:00 PM ET: Lottery Status is Announced.  

*IMPORTANT: Please be certain about the number of students, because NAIS will not be able to increase your student delegation size after the lottery takes place. NO EXCEPTIONS.

How to Enter the SDLC Lottery 

NEW USERS ONLY: 

Using the NAIS email sent to eligible schools on March 21, click on the “New Users” link and then follow the below steps to enter the lottery. 

  • Step 1: Create your account and click "Submit."
    • Enter the point of contact who will receive all lottery communications.
  • Step 2: Enter the name of your school, head of school, and your student delegation size (use the dropdown to select the delegation size), then click "Submit."
    • IMPORTANT: This will be the maximum number of students you will be able to send to SDLC. You will NOT be able to increase this number after the lottery has run. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Step 3: Click the radio button “Enter into Lottery,” and click "Submit."
  • Step 4: Click the pull-down arrow in the green box and select 2024 NAIS SDLC and click "Submit."
  • You are now entered into the lottery and should receive an automated email from our partner, Lotterease. If you do not receive the email, please check your SPAM folder prior to contacting NAIS. You will be notified of your status by close of business on April 29.

RETURNING USERS ONLY: 

Using the NAIS email sent to eligible schools on March 21, click on the “Returning Users” link and then follow the below steps to enter the lottery. 

  • Step 1: Log in by using the email and password that you created the last time you entered the lottery. 
    • If you do not remember your password, click the “Forgot Password” button on the left-hand navigation. 
    • If the person who did this before is no longer working at your school or if you have an SLDC lottery account from a previous school, please contact NAIS to update your school’s SLDC lottery account. 
  • Step 2: Click on your school’s name in the left-hand navigation.
  • Step 3: Click the radio button for “Edit School Account” and click "Submit." 
  • Step 4: Confirm that your head of school and the student delegation size is accurate, update things as needed (use the dropdown to select the delegation size), and click "Submit." 
    • IMPORTANT: This will be the maximum number of students you will be able to send to SDLC. You will NOT be able to increase this number after the lottery has run. NO EXCEPTIONS. 
  • Step 5: Click the radio button “Enter into Lottery,” and click “Submit.” 
  • Step 6: Click the pull-down arrow in the green box and select 2024 NAIS SDLC and click “Submit.” 
  • You are now entered into the lottery and should receive an automated email from our partner, Lotterease. If you do not receive the email, please check your SPAM folder prior to contacting NAIS. You will be notified of your status by close of business on April 29.
