2023 PoCC Highlights

Thank you for joining us in St. Louis, MO, for the 2023 NAIS People of Color Conference, Student Diversity Leadership Conference, and PoCC Heads' Summit. More than 8,000 adults and students from independent schools across the country gathered to learn, collaborate, and support one another. Here’s a look at some of the many memorable moments.
 



Keep the energy and support going throughout the year:
  • Tell us what you loved and what we can improve next year: PoCC attendees received an email on December 4, 2023, containing a brief conference evaluation survey. Please complete it and help us continue to make the conferences better. 
  • Share your insights and expertise: As you reflect on your conference experience, consider writing for NAIS publications. Share your article idea with us at [email protected]. Also, NAIS will be accepting workshop proposals for the next PoCC starting in spring 2024. Start planning your submission today. 
  • Connect with NAIS: Subscribe to the NAIS Newsletters to learn more about resources and professional development opportunities and keep up with the latest independent school news and trends. 
  • Build your network: Join an NAIS Connect community. Share solutions and exchange ideas in topic- and role- based communities.
  • Register for Thrive 2024: Continue your professional development journey at the NAIS annual conference, February 28–March 1 in St. Louis.
  • Give back: Donate to Books for STL Kids, a local nonprofit that increases access to new books for children of under-resourced families, inspiring their love of reading, through this Amazon Wishlist.
