Bard College Institute for Writing & Thinking: July Weeklong Workshops

These workshops immerse teachers in writing-based teaching, its theory and practices, and its application in the classroom. Participants engage in new writing practices, read diverse texts, and collaborate with educators from around the world on Bard College’s campus. The workshops support teachers in adapting prompts, shaping collaborative learning, and integrating new readings. The workshops also explore how forms like poetry and images can engage students with varied interests. Teachers live in private dorm rooms on Bard campus, eat meals together, and enjoy the beautiful setting and lively atmosphere of Annandale-on-Hudson in the summer.
