Gather: A Convening for Renewal and Growth, Belonging, and Impact

Gather, a convening for renewal and growth, belonging, and impact, marks a bold new chapter in NAIS’s enduring commitment to inclusion and belonging.

Rooted in the legacy of the NAIS People of Color Conference (PoCC), it continues to center the experiences of people of color while broadening the circle to include those whose identities and leadership are shaping independent schools today. Gather elevates voices and perspectives not always fully seen or heard, alongside those leading meaningful inclusion and belonging efforts in their communities. Through connection, renewal, and shared learning, it brings together educators called to lead with courage, clarity, and purpose—and to make belonging a lived experience for all.

Three interconnected pathways will give Gather attendees the opportunity to engage with programming in different ways (personally, professionally, and collectively), all connected to the overall, shared purpose of strengthening inclusive school communities:

  1. PERSONAL Renewal and Growth: Affinity group work, coaching, keynotes, and more
  1. SCHOOL Inclusion and Belonging: Expert- and practitioner-led programming related to school inclusion and belonging
  1. COMMUNITY Dialogue and Impact: Thoughtful, facilitated dialogue around relevant, complex topics and opportunities for community building and impact
