Executive Summary

NAIS Research: 2023-2024 Faculty Satisfaction Survey ReportThis report presents the findings of NAIS’s 2023-2024 Faculty Satisfaction Survey Report, focusing on faculty satisfaction with aspects of their job, workplace relationships, teaching environment, and organizational culture. Results show that faculty feel a strong sense of community, autonomy, and alignment with their school’s mission. Teachers value supportive relationships with peers and students and feel pride in their work. However, they express concerns about limited career advancement, lack of recognition, and uneven diversity across faculty and leadership. While many are satisfied with benefits like health insurance and retirement contributions, compensation and housing affordability remain challenges.

The findings also indicate that while most faculty are not planning to leave their position, some uncertainty about future plans points to potential retention issues for schools.

Overall, the survey results suggest that faculty are deeply invested in their schools but see opportunities for improved support and clearer pathways for growth.
