Theodore R. Sizer is the founder and chair emeritus of the Coalition of Essential Schools and the founding director of the Annenberg Institute for School Reform. He is the author of numerous books on education, including The Students Are Watching, co-authored with his wife, Nancy Faust Sizer, and the highly influential Horace series.
