The Klingenstein Center is the first university-based center focused on leadership development for independent schools. The Klingenstein Center is a part of Teachers College, Columbia University, the #2 Graduate School of Education in the 2025 US News and World Report Rankings. The Center offers a range of graduate programs, fellowships, and professional learning opportunities to address the needs to independent school leaders. Degree programs include the Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership, Master of Arts and Master of Education in Independent School Leadership, and the MA/MBA Dual-Degree in partnership with Columbia Business School or INSEAD. Fully-funded fellowships are available for current Heads of Schools and Early-Career Teachers (1-5 years of experience).
