The Klingenstein Center is the first university-based center focused on leadership development for independent schools. The Klingenstein Center is a part of Teachers College, Columbia University, the #2 Graduate School of Education in the 2025 US News and World Report Rankings. The Center offers a range of graduate programs, fellowships, and professional learning opportunities to address the needs to independent school leaders: -Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership -Master of Arts and Master of Education in Private School Leadership -MA/MBA Dual-Degree in partnership with Columbia Business School or INSEAD -Heads of Schools Fellowship (fully-funded, 2 weeks in January) -Klingenstein Summer Institute for Early Career Teachers (fully-funded, 2 weeks in June) -FORGE, a change leadership workshop and coaching experience -and a variety of in person and online workshops.
