Pine Crest neXt Collabsite: Launchpad: Developing a Science Research Program

This workshop is designed to help educators build a strong, authentic science research curriculum for middle and upper school students. Grounded in national recommendations for integrated STEM learning, it provides a practical framework for guiding students from curiosity-driven questions to research proposals, experimental design, and data analysis. Participants will explore age-appropriate research practices, observe active research classrooms, and learn how mentoring structures support student success. The workshop also highlights partnerships with community and university organizations to enrich opportunities. Emphasizing real-world, hands-on research, it strengthens student independence, resilience, laboratory skills, and deeper understanding of scientific inquiry.
