Peabody School’s mission is to serve the needs of academically advanced children of all backgrounds in one or more areas by promoting cognitive, social, and emotional development for each child at a rate commensurate with his or her ability, while providing a foundation for students to become life-long learners. This mission is best embodied in our motto: "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." Our Philosophy: The most effective educational experience for academically advanced students is in a full-time program with their intellectual peers, led by highly skilled and uniquely qualified teachers who create differentiated curricular activities and provide instruction specially tailored to meet the students’ learning needs.
