Glenview New Church School
Feed the Mind Our faculty employs a curriculum that engages the whole child and adapts itself to his or her unique learning style. Our smaller size allows us to work closely with our students. We regularly assess where students are, and we move them forward at a rate that is appropriate to their unique abilities for learning. We work to create life-long learners who take pride in and ownership of their learning. In these ways we prepare our students to face new challenges and embrace opportunities as they grow and mature. Touch the Heart Because we are a religious school, we provide the students with regular chapel services and religion classes. Students learn stories from the Word of God with affection, and they develop a concept of the Lord as a loving and wise presence in their lives. Our classroom learning experiences engage their hearts as well as their minds. We have weekly service learning times when the students are involved in planning and implementing projects that make a difference in the lives of others around them. Sewing pillowcases and blankets for children in hospitals; earning money for a variety of charitable organizations; gathering and sharing information about endangered species; and growing vegetables to donate to the Northfield Township Food Pantrythese are just a few examples of services that our students perform to benefit the lives of others. Prepare for Life In addition to feeding the minds and touching the hearts of our students, we prepare them for life now and in the future. We prepare them for further studies, and help them to become contributing members of societyoutward-looking, trustworthy, spiritually grounded, strong in body, mind, and spirit, and willing to reach out beyond themselves in service to others. I would be more than happy to meet with you and discuss our program and your child. I am excited about what we have to offer our students and look forward to partnering with you in their education.
