Learn research-based, equity-centered strategies to increase well-being, enhance belonging, and deepen engagement for students in your community. You will connect with fellow educators, experts, and thought leaders who are transforming the student experience in K-12 schools across the country, deepen your professional learning, and leave inspired and empowered with concrete strategies for your K-12 school community.

Join CATDC in this two-part, four-session series (September 2024 through January 2025) to learn and apply best practices for engaging in meaningful and productive coaching and mentoring. Through small group discussion, individual reflection, scenario analysis, and role play, attendees will learn to better navigate the current reality and develop skills that increase impact and foster resilience and agency.

This program, which includes multiple virtual sessions and an in-person gathering from October 2024-May 2025,  is designed to support your growth and success as a woman leader in technology within the independent school community. Facilitators will guide sessions to address the multifaceted aspects of the work and provide a platform for participants to share experiences, discuss dynamics, and offer mutual support.

This program, which includes multiple virtual sessions from October 2024-April 2025, strengthens participants’ fundamental teaching skills and emphasizes inclusive practices for unit design, equitable classroom management, navigating school culture, deepening cultural competencies, and engaging confidently as a teacher leader. Participants will build community with each other, work with diverse educational leaders from the CATDC community, and have the opportunity to engage in two individual, 30-minute coaching sessions over the course of the program.

Facilitated by members of The San Francisco Equity Leaders (SFEL), a cohort of DEI directors from Bay Area independent schools and consultants, this ongoing program with multiple in-person and virtual sessions is intended for people who are doing DEIB work in official and “unofficial” roles. It is meant to provide participants with a safe and supportive community to reflect, share stories, and learn from each other.

ShiftinEdu is a two-day learning event hosted by St. Stephen's Episcopal Day School, designed for forward-thinking educators who embrace evidence-based and innovative practices in K-12 environments. Attendees can learn from top educational thought leaders, researchers, and practitioners to gain a deeper understanding of how to design and deliver innovative learning experiences that prepare students for success.

 

This hybrid program will provide new and aspiring leaders with tools and strategies to transition successfully into a leadership role. Throughout this program, which includes in-person and virtual sessions from October 2024 through April 2025, participants will also have the opportunity to discuss the dynamics, challenges, and opportunities unique to their roles and schools.

This workshop offers educators relevant and practical entry points to begin the process of making sense of AI. Eric Hudson will cover three guiding principles and seven strategies for understanding AI’s impact on education and harnessing its power to support deeper learning and teaching.

This ongoing program will provide new leaders and educators growing into leadership roles with the tools and strategies to lead more successfully. With a focus on fostering your own personal growth as well as furthering your responsibility for the growth and development of others, participants will identify and hone the skills and habits of effective leaders, including locating one’s authentic leadership style, leveraging position within an institution, fostering high functioning teams, making informed decisions, navigating change and conflict, and creating and maintaining inclusive school environments in predominantly white institutions.

An opportunity for heads and board members to strengthen collaboration on current challenges, identify common goals, and strategically plan for the success of the school.
