To give incoming international students a more authentic window into life at Episcopal High School (VA)—a boarding school with an international student body of about 15%—current international students are sharing their own stories and experiences through art. The latest creation from MANGA!!, a student-run art club started in 2018, is a pamphlet in the Japanese style of manga comic book storytelling. New international student orientation packets included the 20-page EHS Starter Pack, which will be updated yearly. The Starter Pack includes tips such as explore Washington, DC, with friends; get a recipe for kale chips from an upperclassman; and perform at the school chapel.
