Join the upper school humanities team at Charles Wright Academy (WA) and Rebecca Moore of Phillips Exeter Academy (NH) for a single-day workshop that offers participants the opportunity to participate in the discussion-based Harkness pedagogy as students and then reflect on the experience as educators. Each attendee will experience several different techniques for facilitating discussion-based learning, creating spaces for belonging and equity, and offering assessments of student learning.

In this virtual workshop, educators and school staff will have the chance to learn about the dimensions and complexities of gender. Participants will reflect on their own genders, explore what they know and what they can learn about transgender identities, and practice pronouns and inclusive language around gender.
